After 2 years… we’re BACK on the rooftop terrace of the Kennedy Center. 🌤
On Thursday, May 23rd, we’re waking to the summer sun with this city’s most iconic views. This is our season to blossom and bloom — so go ahead and let your petals down to soak in all that summer life has to offer.
May marks Mental Health Awareness Month and this dance is in collaboration with the Kennedy Center’s Sound Health: Music and the Mind programming, an initiative to expand our understanding of the connections between music and wellness.😍
The World Health Organization says mental illness affects 1 in 4 people worldwide, many of whom feel isolated and disconnected.
But research suggests that a combo of:
🎧 hearing reasonably loud, well-liked music
💃 coordinating our bodies to move with the rhythm
👯and synchronizing our moves with other people in close proximity…
—aka a DANCE PARTY — can uniquely benefit health and happiness. We call it the Daybreaker D.O.S.E. You may already know…
Wear florals and green (official color of mental health awareness month!) and come ready to bloom together.
See you on the terrace.
NOTE: 🎟 the GET TICKETS button re-directs to the Kennedy Center’s event page for tickets! And PS: Rain date is the 30th!
